In November 2016, I built a Captain America shield along with an electromagnetic gauntlet to hold it. The inspiration was a Hacksmith Industries video, made by the company I’d end up working for almost eight years later.
The build

The gauntlet
The gauntlet is PVC pipe that I melted to shape and painted, attached to an electromagnet powered by a 3S LiPo battery.

The shield
The shield started life as a Flexible Flyer shield. I stripped off the original paint and refinished it.
